We received so many wonderful messages from our friends and family and
wanted to share them with everyone! A special thanks to each and everyone
of you who have been so supportive and sent your love.



Dear buGG-
I am so sorry about Spyder. I know he is the number One doGG - the doGG
of a lifetime, your very dear friend and companion, irreplaceable in your family.
I am so sorry! I'm sorry for him, too, that he was so sick. It is a
testament to his devotion and loyalty and love for you that he kept
it to himself so long and kept up his good work in the family, companion
and protector. I'm glad you got to be there when it was time for him to go. Glad for
you and for him - that the last thing he feels here on earth are the
loving hands of his closest humans. I am sorry he bled - I really didnt
know about that, have never had that myself -
I'm sure Shadow and Libby do know something profound has changed, partially
from you and Steve's deep sadness but also just intuitively - they all
were so rarely separated for any long time like this. They may have
even felt some of his sickness that we (humans) couldn't feel - you
know dogs are very in tune with that stuff - sometimes they even use
dogs to help diagnose diseases in humans. I'm sure they will be
lonely for him, too, and confused about the new order in the house and all.
I know this will be a big adjustment for all of you but I think you will
come thru it, altho' I imagine it seems almost insurmountable now.
I love you buGG and Steve - I was thinking of you all night and will be
today and on - I love the picture of Steve and Spyder on 1-25-08 - a really
nice memory shot - all smiles.

Alicia called us this morning crying on the phone to tell us about Spyder.
I'm so sorry about what has happened to him. I was only around him just
two times but I could see what a big sweetie he was and how much he

it hurts less and you remember just how lucky you are to have found that

Hi Bugg. How are you & Steve holding up? How about Shadow & Libby?
Are they doing okay? I just wanted to check up on you guys b/c I know
how hard it is to lose a pet...or should I say part of the family. Spyder
was such a great dog! He was always smiling and always so happy to be
around people. I think he was always so happy b/c he knew he had lots of
people who loved him. He had wonderful parents, great brothers and sisters
(even though Shadow likes to sometimes eat all the dog biscuits!), and
great friends. He was absolutely one of my favorite dogs I'd ever met.
Such a great life should not be cut so short, but he loved every minute of it.
He is greatly missed!If you guys need anything, make sure you let me know.

It is awful to have to make that decision! I wish you peace, knowing that

Hi Bugg,
My heart goes out to you and Steve. Dan had to put his Dalmation of over
10 years down a few months ago. It was so heart breaking and extremely
difficult for us. You are both blessed to have each other to console.
I know what you mean about the dogs smiling til the end. I know that is
a reflection of the sweet life you gave Spyder and that was Spyder's
way of letting you know it's ok and that he loves you both and wants
you to enjoy life because death is all part of this precious life too,
so live it to the fullest because unfortunately, everyday is not guarunteed.

buGG and Steve, I am so Sorry about Spyder! I know the pain you are feeling,
I had to have my yorkie put to sleep a few years back, after 13 years.
Our pets are like our children., except they love us unconditionally.
In time, the pain will lessen, but for now, please know, I am thinking of
you both. I really believe there is a place in Heaven for our "furry" children.
They are such a gift in our lives. I am glad you have your two other dogs,
as you give them love, think of Spyder, it will help, although it wont
make the loss any less significant.

Bugg! I am so sorry. I can only imagine the pain you guys are feeling
right now. I can't even stand to think about when Frazier's day comes.
Our animals really are like family members. They laugh and cry with
us and always love us no matter what. I am truly sadend by this news.
You and your family will be in my thoughts (both 2 and 4 legged
members...and finned!). I do want to share with you a story that was
on the news this morning. Apearantly a Pit Bull began to attack a
toddler and another dog came in and fought off the Pit Bull to protect
the child. They showed the dog on the news and he really is an average
Joe of dogs, certainly not one you would think would be able to "hang"
with a Pittie (especially not with one crazy enough to be attacking
toddlers). It was a touching storey.
Take comfort in knowing that Syder is in "doggie heaven" and he can be happy
without pain and suffering. Will Rogers once said that if there are no
dogs in heaven then he wantsto be where they are...Who could blame him!

I honestly don't even know what to say. There's not really words to

I understand how you feel! I have lost several dogs over the years,
and it is so very hard. My last one was the worst I had him since he
was a couple of weeks old. He thought he was "people", and was
terrified of animals. For me, it was like losing a child, since I
don't have any children and he had been with me all the time for 16
years. He always went to work with me, and most everywhere else, too.
